Now that the weather is getting warmer and the cold fronts have subsided, the snook are on the move to their summer time haunts. As the water temperature climbs over 75 degrees the snook start to become more active in their feeding and can be frequently seen most everywhere.
Getting these fish to eat this time of year takes some good tidal movement and active live baits. This week with the new moon tides brings a strong current flow on the incoming and outgoing tides which triggers the fish the feed more than normal.
Snook season is now closed from May through August so these majestic fish can spawn. Eventhough you cannot take one of these snook home with you, the action during the summer months is phenominal.
