Snook are present along with redfish anywhere mullet are present. Catching 20 snook a day is normal this time of year in the warmer waters of Mosquito Lagoon, Edgewater, and the New Smyrna Beach areas. They continue to eat most artificials along with live baits. Warmer water = snook this time of year.....plain and simple...not rocket science!!

Fished earlier in the week and our target was snook, boating well over 25 along with trout, blues , jacks, and ladyfish in on the action.

Located just south of Daytona Beach and less than an hour from the Orlando area.

Bio: Growing up on the east coast of Florida I started fishing at a very early age mostly on the inshore waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Now with the experience of learning every corner of the back waters and fish behavior patterns, I am a full time fishing guide on the Mosquito Lagoon. Besides writing monthly fishing reports for my website, Coastal Angler Magazine, and various other organizations, I also enjoy working with and am on the pro staff for Rip Tide Lures, High Roller Lures, Berkley, Pure Fishing, Daiichi Hooks, and Costa Del Mar Sunglasses.
