I took a day inbetween cold fronts to go out and locate the fish. Recent cold fronts have scattered most of our fish to their winter haunts.

Caught a dozen trout from 19" to 23" around the spoil islands. The largest was 23 1/2 inches. I went looking for redfish when the tide was high. Found a small group of 6 to 8, hanging around some oyster beds next to a small islands. Had several great shots but no takers. Should have had live shrimp. That may have change their minds.

Also found a dozen or so snook laying up in the back waters. Tossed several different types of plastics to no avail.

Both reds and snook didn't want to play today. It was good to see they are still hanging out at their favorite flat. Maybe next time I will bring some live bait and change the game.

Another cold front is expecting to hit this week end. Dropping water temps to more seasonal levels.
