This past week on the water has had some real good days and a few that we struggled, it appears with the fish on the bed that you must work real hard out there to have good days back to back. The fish responded on the good days with best of 5 bags over 20 lbs. The slower days we caught some good fish with a 5 lb. or better fish each time but the numbers were down on the slower days.
I was on the water several days this week we caught fish on a variety of soft plastic baits, we fished a lizard, a big worm and a senko worm. Most of the fish came on the lizard; we did also catch some fish on a trap. We also had some days with some good numbers the biggest day being 21 fish in eight-hour trip.
There a lot of people on the water and the fish are getting beat up pretty hard, so the bites you get you must make the best of by putting them in the boat. The bites are light and to have a good day you must connect more than you miss.
I have a few openings next week so if you are still on spring break trying to get on the water give me a call.
