Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/30/08
This past week has been the beginning of the fall fishing frenzy. The bass are definitely moving into the fall patterns, the top water bite is great and the spinner bait bite is coming back. It's an early fall but we are having some cooler weather, some rain and wind; and all indications are it will be an early fall and winter will be tougher than some in the past.
This all adds up to a great week, and a better fall shaping up for the next few months. We caught good numbers all week, the top water bite is strong and the bass are schooling and chasing bait filling their bellies for the up-coming winter.
We fished over grass most of the week, and on the few sunny days we worked the edges and points. As the sun came up catching fish on Punisher Spinner Baits, crank baits as well as Mister Twister worms. It was just a week to remember on Lake Guntersville. I fished the upper part of the lake most of the week except for Friday as I stayed in the middle part. Where really didn't matter the fish were active and the bite was great!
Fall is here and the fishing will get even better! Come fish with me I have days available for you!
