Steve and his daughter Katie jumped aboard as we were facing 20 to 25 mile an hour winds all morning long and although the tarpon would not cooperate I was able to take them to an area out of the wind where they had a blast catching nice drag peeling jacks, big mangrove snappers and a few nice mutton snappers. The big highlight today was Steve catching his 1st snook. Then he told me he had never caught bonefish before. Wait, what?  Oh, let's go for it!  I looked at my watch and realised I had a small window to try to get his 1st bonefish in the boat. Well as it turns out we hit that spot just right and just a few minutes in the Steve was tight to a solid 8 pound fish that was burning up the drag. After numerous long runs I scooped up the big bonefish, Steve got his glory pictures and we headed back with a solid day of fishing. Congrats Steve!
