Today we had bachelor party with the groom to be Brain from Deerfield Florida along with Rick and Scott also from Deerfield and Scott out of Delray Florida and Doug and Jimmy both from Boston.
We went right to kite fishing with our live baits suspended from the kites.
As it turned out we made the right move with the groom catching the first sail fish and Kevin catching a second sail and Scott caught a king fish and last but not least Doug reeled in a boomer bonito.

March 7
Today we had Bryan from South Florida along with Lee out of Rally North Carolina and Scott from Long Island NY.
Today we ran to the south about 6 miles to where there is a wreck that lays on the bottom in about 110 feet of water.
Once we got down there we trolled around a couple of little feathers and caught a couple small bonitos. We than put a couple trouble hooks in each bonito and set them out over the wreck.
From there it only took a couple of min till the water exploded and we were Hooked Up. Lee grabbed the spinner rod and the fight was on. We had our hands full trying to drag this big fish away from the wreck but Lee hung in there and with in 3 to 5 min we were far enough away from the wreck where Lee just might have a shot at catching what ever it was on the other end of the line. After another 15 min finally Lee got his monster barracuda to the boat. We got the hooks out of him got a quick photo and released him to fight again another day.
Ok so it worked once so we decided to try it again.
Sure enough once we got another live bait out over the wreck it only took a couple of min and BAM we were Hooked Up again.
This time Scott got the rod and the fight was on. After a good 10 min of back and forth gaining line up popped another big barracuda.
Things were working out so well it seemed everything we did just worked for us today.
Than it happen our luck changed and I'm sorry to say that it did not take a turn for the good because all the rest of the luck we had was bad.
We had set out our kites with 4 live goggle eyes (live baits) suspended from them when up popped this sail fish all over our right long kite bait and before we knew it we were Hooked Up.
I don't recall who jumped in the chair but by the time we noticed we were going to have to chase this one down he had taken so much line and was so far from the boat that the leader just snapped and just like that he was gone @%$&(^%^
Ok no problem we still had plenty of time so out went the live baits and once again the trap was set.
Than out of nowhere up popped this Hammer Head shark and by the time we noticed him out there he had all ready gotten a hold of one of our baits.
So here we were hooked up to a big hammerhead shark with 30 pound test and a very light wire leader. I knew this was not going to last and sure enough with in 3 min the line parted and he was gone.
What the heck happen to all the good luck we had earlier in the day??
Ok so now we were starting to run a little short on time. Than we got another hit and this one turned out to be a dolphin fish about 5 to 6 pounder. Not a big one but plenty for dinner.
This time everything was working our good right up until when he got right next to the boat and spit the hook. @^#^(^^&% (RATS)
All we could do was laugh. All in all we did have a good time and thank god we caught a couple of big barracudas earlier in the day.

March 8
Today we had a shared charter with Toney from Las Vegas California, his brother in law Pierre from Montreal Canada, Granddad Larry and his grand son Cameran from Cheyenne Wyoming and Greg from Salem Virginia.
We went right to trolling to insure everyone would catch fish and as it turned out we caught a box full of kingfish with little Cameran catching the biggest king and he also caught the smallest with a Spanish mackerel.
Thanks again to all of our anglers today and Greg hope you enjoy your fish fry.
As we got back to the dock we got ready for our second trip of the day fishing with Mom and dad Pat and Shelly their son Nick and their daughter Kim along with this homeless girl Katie (LOL) all from Minnesota.
We started out trolling the reef but the reef had shut down and the kings were just not biting.
So we switched to some kite fishing with a few live baits suspended from the kites and a couple of shark baits down deep.
The first bite turned out to be a little silky shark and Nick jumped at the chance of reeling him in. While it was a good size silky we had him out classed with the heavy tackle we were using trying to catch some kind of a sea monster. J.J. did manage to get all the hooks out of him and we watched him dart away like a bullet when we released him.
Than we got the REEL BITE and Kim jumped in the chair for the fight of her life. Kim was giving it all she had for as long as she could than dad came in to give her a little hand. I think Kim really wore down the fish and Pat just had to reel in the slack but he might disagree with that. All the same the back and forth tug a war went on for a good 30 min till finally up popped this monster hammer head shark.
We managed to slide him threw the tuna door for a quick measurement and a couple photos and than we just slid him out the door to fight again another day.

March 10
Today we started out fishing with Mike and Scott from Boca Raton Florida and Remo from Philly and we had Harry and his wife from parts unknown.
We ran way to the south trying to get away from all the other fishing boats and we set out our 2 kites with 4 live baits suspended from them.
All of a sudden out of no where a huge I mean a monster hammer head shark showed up and swam right to the back of the boat.
Holly cow what to do?
Captain J.J. yelled down to our mate Richard to go into the bait box and there was shark bait already rigged and ready.
And just like a well oiled machine the pulled the live baits up in the air and slid back the right bait for the right fish and the second this monster got a whiff of this bloody bonito the fight was on.
I don't think Remo had any idea of what kind of a fight he was in for!
When this fish took off I mean he just screamed line off the reel like a fright train and @ times it seemed as if it would never slow down but soon enough he did and than Remo started to gain some line and than back off it went this back and forth went on for a good 45 min till at last Remo got his monster trophy 113 inch hammerhead shark to the boat.
Sorry to say that things got so hecktic that we forgot to get a photo of this monster so Remo if you guys can e mail me a photo I would love to post it in this report!
After a lot of high fiving and hand shaking we got right back to fishing and soon enough a sail fish popped up on our right short kite bait but I'm sorry to say that he just stopped for a second and than just swam off.
Than just before it was time to head back another sail popped up and this one ate the bait but once again a little bad luck and as the fish started jumping the hook came flying out of his mouth and just like that he was gone.
As we pulled back to the dock we had our afternoon trip waiting to give their luck a shot at some deep-sea fishing aboard the Hooked Up off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.
We had Will, John, Tom and Sam all from North Carolina.
We started out trolling the reef just to make sure we got some fish in the box for these guys and we did catch a few king fish and a few bonitos. Than we switched over to live bait fishing with our kites but it seemed we must have used up all of our luck for the day on that monster we caught in the morning.
As we pulled back to the dock we had our 3rd trip of the day waiting to give their luck a shot with us.
We had Scott from Fort Lauderdale Florida and his good friend Garit from Atlanta Ga.
Ok this trip was going to be big fish or bust so once again we set out our kites and some shark baits down deep.
It took some waiting but @ last our deep rod bent over and we were Hooked Up.
Garit jumped in the chair and the fight was on. It was a back and forth tug a war for a good 20 min till finally this big bull shark popped up.
We managed to get 2 out of the 3 hooks out of him and watched him swim away in good shape.
