Late evenings it got up to 75 degrees. In the Area from the Mouth of Cains river down there has been reports of fresh fish being hooked with sea lice on them and very silver in color. Also reports in the Doaktown area of fish being hooked. A lot of the fish are being hooked on small black wet flies and white tailed green machines. And your bombers orange and brown with a dead drift affect. I have no reports on the upper stretches today above Doaktown.

I would think everybody has already heard about the weather forecast but just in case you haven't here is what the weather is over the next few days, hope you like rain! because there is going to be a lot of it. There is expected 30 to 40 ml of rain over the next day or so for the Miramichi area. And for us anglers it is like going to the beach on a sunny day. Well we really need a change for the fish and lets hope we do get some rain this time.

I hooked a couple the last few days on green machines #8 singles. Guide Ian Fortune hooked fish almost every morning the last few days on brown bombers with white ends #4. Local anglers at the mouth of Cains River hooked some on green machines #8 singles.

Well maybe we will have some better fishing over the next few days.

Bye for now,

Rodney Colford
