Dolphin made up the most of this weeks catches. Some big bull dolphin were caught this week in close, only 150'-200' of water. Trolling and kite fishing have been the most effective for them. On one of our charters we caught 3 dolphin all over 30 lbs. out of the blue while trolling on the outside edge of the reef. A few sailfish are still biting good too. We caught 3 out of 4 sailfish on Saturday during a mini 10 boat tournament, taking first place in the billfish category.

Our Friday night swordfishing trip didn't make it out this week due to weather and not enough reservations. Capt. Adam was on vacation this week also, so a lot of the regulars didn't come. Fear not! Capt. Adam is back from vacation this week and will be running this weeks Friday night swordfishing trip. Still some room on that trip if you want to come. The past few weeks have been red hot for swordfish. Just read the last couple of my fishing reports.

Also the drift boat has been catching some nice bottom fish. Mutton snappers are starting to show up and we have been catching a handful of them on almost every trip. And cobia have begun to come around also. We caught a couple of cobias this week, and one 59 lb cobia on top of one of our shipwrecks. Lots and lots of kings caught but none of them over legal size. All little 20" kings we had to throw back

Biggest fish of the week was caught by Roger Forstner aboard the Big Game. It was a 278 lb. golden hammerhead shark, and it was 8' 11" from tip to tip. A very nice catch. A couple other sharks caught this week as well.

I expect to see the dolphin fishing getting better and better this month as well as the shark and sailfishing. Muttons, amberjack and cobia are showing up better and better also. Kingfishing will slow down a bit until summer probably. The swordfish are biting so come out on our Friday night swordfishing trip. Its always a great trip. Thanks and I'll see ya next week.
