Hey Y'all. I'm just sitting down at my desk from a tour around Apalachicola this morning (wearing my realtor hat for a couple hours today) where I was again reminded of what a unique and timelessly beautiful area we live and work in. What struck my heart was the view looking east-southeast across Scipio Creek from above the Apalachicola waterfront to the bridge spanning the Apalachicola river. The cool breeze whispering over the marsh grass, the sky so eye-achingly blue, the aroma of the river, God I love it here! Sometimes we get so busy and caught up in the day to day that we forget to look up and take it all in. If you're reading this and can't remember the last time you went fishing, you know what to do!
March on the Forgotten Coast so far has been dry and gorgeous on land without the rain we usually associate with this time of year. I'm sure the Spring Breakers have loved the mild North-Florida weather. The wind we've had has made fishing a bit more challenging than we would have liked, though Inshore fishing in general has been good for this time of year - lots of trout and some redfish are being caught. Let me know if you're headed down for spring break - we do have fishing guides ready to take you and your family out for a day on the water.
A group of Nashville songwriters was here early in the month - wish we could have shown them a better day weather-wise. They proved they are not only gifted and talented writers & performers but that they can catch fish in adverse conditions. Later, their outstanding performance packed the house for 2 nights at the Dixie Theatre. I made a promise when I added Realtor to my "List of things to do" that I wouldn't inundate our fishing clients with it. That said, one of your fellow anglers has a first tier lot (across the street from the Gulf of Mexico) on St. George Island that he has asked Tommy & I to sell for him. If you're interested, we'd love to hear from you. Here's the details: http://64.215.236.57/listing.cfm?id=28255&pw=2EHPCS
