Fishing report for the week ending 3/6/2011

Spring like weather is still with us, were getting maybe one weak cool front a week but overall weather and fishing has been great. As in all of the March"s that I can remember we get our windy days but it sure beats the cold.

I have been splitting my trips between San Carlos Bay and Estero Bay both of which have had good numbers of sea trout and plenty of slot size fish to be had. Pompano and spanish mackerel have been around the passes.

Bait has become much more plentiful and with them are many of the preditor fish, sharks are showing up and even a few tarpon have been seen. With some better high tides this week I have been able to fish more oysterbars and mangrove shorelines on the higher water, giving better oportunity for snook and redfish.Great weather and fishing, get out on the water!

Remember Tarpon will be here soon get your Tarpon trip reserved now!For charter information or to book a trip contact
