Chase N' Tails Fishing Charters,
It finally feels like Spring the weather is great the sun is shining and the air temperature is in the 70s with that saying the inshore fishing is great. The Trout action is on fire we are limiting out on BIG trout everyday we get out, the trout are 18-25 inches. The rig i like to use is a 5/0 flutter hook and a Berkely Gulp white jerk bait or new penny bouncing along the bottom slowly and for live bait large shrimp with a 2-3/0 circle hook with 20lb suffix leader and a popping cork. I have been seeing larger schools of Big Redfish in the backcountry along oyster bars, and mangrove shore lines we are getting
redfish up to 28 inches on any moving tide i like a high out going my self the reds are eating large shrimp and cut fresh mullet use a 3/0 circle hook and 20lb suffix leader keep your
distance they are spooky right now a good cast is crusial land the bait 10 feet or so away from the reds and let it sit the reds will smell the bait And move in. We are getting some nice size sheepshead, mangrove snapper, and small gag grouper on the near by rocks in 6-8 feet. For the sheeps and snapper use a 1/0 hook and a small shrimp and a spilt shot the size of the sheeps and snapper are 12-18 inches. What to look forward to in April is the white bait to show up and the predator fish right behind them and the redfish bite is going to be even better so now is the time to book your trip early so you can get in this great fishing action.
Tight lines
