The trip went from 15 anglers to 5 anglers. Those out the day before were still too exhausted to try it again. As the Captain put it, "They droped downthe jigs and it was like hitting a hornets nest!" The biggest squid went 50 pounds. The group came in to run crab pots for a little Dungeness crab to go with their calamari. The squidding took plaxce below the Half Moon Bay Weather Buoy (46012) in 1,270 feet of water. Ahi Promar squid jigs and two speed reels with spectra were the ticket to a sucessful day.
