Eddie Bussard

The past three days I have spent guiding my very good friend Rob M

and his girlfriend Dee Rob's son Ryan and Dee's son Travis my buddy

Hank G helped me out sense there were 4 of them fishing this year.

This trip is a trade out I have been doing with Rob for the past 7 years

because I get to hunt Rob's farm in Ohio during the bow deer season

in November.I have taken some GREAT BUCKS scoring into the 160

class off Rob's farm so I always do my best to put him and his guest

on some Florida Trophy Bass each year and this trip was a great one

Robs girlfriend Dee caught her biggest bass to date on this trip weighing

10.4 pounds Robs son Ryan caught his biggest bass to date weighing

9.12 and Travis Dee's son caught his biggest bass to date weight 8.14

Rob caught an 8 pounder but he was giving his rod up to his guest

when the big fish hit as he was interested in his family getting the big

fish on this trip. What a great guy.The numbers were low on this trip

and I believe that is because the shad are getting really thick in the

area of the River I am fishing. We had a lot of fish bust the shiners and

kill them but they just didn't want to eat them. This takes place every

year as the shad run gets started.

I have been seeing some big fish schooling on main river points the past week

and that is a good sight to see as it tells me it's time to start fishing artificial

trips in the morning and then switching to shiners in the afternoon.

The topwater action should start getting better as the month of April arrives.
