Our weather the last few weeks has been exceptionally good for this time of year. Only a few days the last few weeks that conditions have not been ideal. Perch fishing has been very good, most trips we are catching limits of 8 to 12 inch perch with a few 13 inch perch. Winds permitting we are fishing east and northeast of Kelleys Island in 40 to 43 feet of water using spreaders tip with Lake Erie Shinners. Also, good catches are being taken west of Green and Rattle Snake Island.
Walleye fishing continues to be a challenge. Walleyes that are being taken in our area are mainly off Gull and Kelleys Island Shoals. Better reports of walleyes being caught are off the Huron, Vermillion and Lorain areas.
We still have some great days of fishing left before we start to think about having to put the boat away for the season. So, don't hold back, make your plans for a day of fishing before it is to late.
Have you heard the saying? "A man's wealth is not determined by how much money he has in the bank, but by how many perch he has in his freezer".
Hope to see you on the Lake,
