Today We had Tommy and Mark aboard for a Striper and Black Fish combo trip. The sea conditions were not to well today. We ran out in a stiff NW blow with 2-3 against the tide. Upon arriving at our first stop the fish finder showed no life. We made 3 drifts with live bunker with no takers. We ran east to the next reef. Finally some life on the fish finder. It took a few tries to get the drift line right but once we did the action was on. Mark was the first to hook up and Tommy was right behind him. Now with 2 nice stripers in the fish box we made another drift. Mark Hooked up with a big one. After a short battle we boated a 43 inch 30 pound striper. We drifted a few more times for a couple of more stripers in the 20-25 pound range and a couple of 8-10 pound Blues.

With plenty of stripers in the fish boxes it was now time to go Black fishing. Right from the start Mark was hitting the Togs. Tommy quickly caught right up to him. The fish ranged from 3- 6 pounds and were very fat. After the guys boated 11 keepers and a few throw backs we were running low on crabs and the wind was getting stronger. We called it a day about 10am and headed in full of fish.
