Fraser river Sturgeon are powerful beasts and have a reputation for arm burning fights while combined with repetetive jumps and scorching runs!
There are fish each season caught that are over 800lbs! Maybe it's your turn?
We went out Sunday afternoon for a short trip. Our first drop was in a typically good spot but after 1 hour no bites so we moved to another spot I like and after dropping anchor and setting up the rods with our special bait we sat down for a few to wait for a bite. After 5 minutes the right side rod started to get some soft biting action, and then suddenly before I could even check it out the rod tip buried and line was peeling off the reel! Our drags are typically set at around 50-70lbs but when you hook into these big fish they make you think you've got a flimsy kids reel and line disappears quickly! As I passed the rod to our young lady client the Sturgeon lept out of the river not too far away and everyone yelled and screamed! The big boy jumped at least 6 more times before we landed him for a photo 1 hour later. Nice work girls!
The fishing is starting to get real good and June/July are great months for good Sturgeon fishing. Why not try one of our customized fishing packages with lodging and great fishing!
