My friend Don and I fished a small trout pond in mid-coast Maine on July 10th and 13th. We used lead core line and stick baits and trolled using flyrods. In two trips we boated 16 brook trout from 113/4 to 17 inches. When fishing in the summer heat it is really helpful to use a thermometer to find the level where fish are most comfortable and concentrated. You also need to be careful to use care in releasing these fish to ensure survival. Tightlines!
