Sal Mattino

The trip begins with setting out at dawn looking to fill the live well with live baits!Just south of the Stuart Inlet has been the active area for live sardines and some small blue runners.

The bait has not been jumping in the boat, you have to work for them. But patience is the key to getting your fill for the day of summertime fishing. After getting our limit of live baits for the live well, we start out at 125 feet in depth and worked our way back.

First fish of the day were some good size Bonito ranging from 12-15 pounds of brusing fight! Then a nice Sailfish weighing around 45-50 pounds. Top off the trip with some more fierce Bonito battles and several cut-offs indicating anything from Kingfish, Sharks and maybe a Barracuda! That's all for now, I am Capt.Sal from St. Lucie Sportfishing Charters!Remember saftey first, to fish another day, bye!
