july 9 to the 11th. fish are holding in there summer patterns . deep water breaks and rock piles are producing nice smallmouth. look for some breaks in depth. they do not have to be sharp . small change in depth will hold fish. deeper rock piles are loaded with crawfish, try drop shot or verticle jiging tube baits in green pumpkin. berkeley gulp in sinking minnow and leeches are also working well. goby baits draged along the bottom will also put some nice fish in the boat . try some of these patterns any were you are fishing deep water structure for smallmouth bass. the east end of lake erie in buffalo new york has some of the best smallmouth fishing in the country.
