What a month, the snook fishing has been awesome.Lets start with the snook, they have been staging up in there summer spots and they are definetly feeding.I have been averaging 30 snook a trip with some going in the slot, the bait of choice has been greenbacks about 4 inches long, with a 1/0 circle hook and 25lbs flurocarbon leader. Look to find them laying in the deepers passes off the flats, throughs along the beaches and spoil islands or and rock jettys this time of year.Tarpon bite has been good as well but pick your days, look at the tide chart and find you strong tide days thats going to be your best chance to hook up with a silver king, pass crabs ,big pinfish and big greenbacks are the bait of choice.Other great spieces to target on slow tide days are Makerel and trout on the deeper flats.
