With summertime fishing in full gear and water temperatures on the rise fish are still biting on both Lake Kissimmee and Lake Walk in Water. You need to fish early in the morning and later in the day. Both artificial and shiner fishing are working well. My clients have been averaging over 20 fish per trip and some linkers being caught. Just this past week alone 2 fish over 9lbs. One on a shiner the other on a rattle trap. We have caught 5 fish over 8 this week, 3 over 7 and several more over the 5 lb range. Water temperatures are in the 80's. Fish are schooling right after sunrise and very late in the evening. Rattle traps, sinkos, frogs, and top water prop baits are working best. Later on in the morning move to little deeper water and you can find success. Summertime can be some of the best fishing of the year.
