Rating: Disapointed So far

Yesterday, I purchased 2 different Berkley Saltwater Gulp baits, the crab and the floresent sand flea. I fished these baits in brakish water, in the canal behind my house, in the early morning and late evening with not as much as a nibble. There are many species of fish in the canal and I see them regularly swimming near my dock. I thought the gulp baits would be a great addition to my tackle, but so far it has only been an expensive mistake. Any suggestions, plz email me at g.maior@yahoo.com

We fish gulp baits for bass and reds. For redfish I like to get a steady retrieve and then drop it in the grass. The reds will pick it up and than you set the hook. These baits really do stink pretty bad so don't spill it on your boat!

I keep a shrimp, mullet, and crab in my tackle box at all time. Gotta love working Gulp baits. They do tend to get your fingers rather stinky though.

The swimming mullet is absolutely deadly for big redfish. Just a steady retrieve. I use a weighted hook to help it dive a bit, but it is awesome.
