Details:If you are just starting out in fishing and don't want to spend a fortune on tackle just yet, check out the economically-priced Shimano IX series. There are three reels to choose from - two are suited to freshwater and light saltwater fishing, and a larger model more at home when used for heavy freshwater and medium saltwater fishing. Both feature a rear drag that is easy to adjust during the course of a long fight, an XT7 frame and graphite spool that keeps weight down to an absolute minimum, and a Quickfire 11 casting mechanism which permits fast, single-handed casts as the bail arm and trigger always self-centre - thereby putting them within easy reach of the angler's index finger.

But that doesnt change the fact that I am still an Okuma fan. I dont like the anti reverse on the IX, its kinda stupid, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars Add your own review |
