Tailing redfish are on our flats along with schools of black drum. This is the year for the black drum - like never seen before in Mosquito Lagoon. I've talked with some of the "old timers" that were fishing here before I was born, and they agree, we have not had such a consistent time with these drum in 2 feet of water ever!!

Mosquito Lagoon is known certain times of the year to have schooling drum on our flats, but this year will go down in the record books. Black drum are alot less spooky than our reds as they feel alot less pressure making them easy to catch. Cut clams and live or dead shrimp will get you hooked up. You can get so close to these 5 - 10 pound fish you can almost poke them with your rod tip!!

Give me a ring for some hot Lagoon action. 386-478-9555
