What was supposed to be 10 to 15 last Saturday was 20 to 25 but the trip went on. Fishing a low incoming tide with Phil Baker and his father Jerry the first 2 hors were out of the wind and good.
Working shrimp on quarter once jig heads in a small creek on an oyster mound it was back and forth with the Reds and Drum. For about two hours until the tide got to high we had them rounded up…
A lot of the fish were small but there were plenty of them. There were also some nice ones mixed in. After that bite stopped it was into the blistering wind with not much of a chance of throwing plastics for Trout. I just couldn't find a place we could fish the last 2 hours!
Thanks to the early bite in the creek it was still a good trip. Everyone seemed to be pleased so that was good enough for me. And putting it on the hill a little early and getting out of that monster wind was like winning the lottery!
Thanks Phil and Jerry for a great time.
