Tampa Bay Thanksgiving Fishing Report
Well I know I just sent out a report a few days ago but I mentioned I would update the offshore fishing as soon as I made it out. So on Friday my charter decided they wanted to fish offshore instead of inside like I had been all week. It was a good call despite fairly rough water, we had an excellent day.
The water temp did get down to 69 degrees but that didn't slow the fishing one bit. Kingfish are still out there in full force. We dropped anchor one time at 8:30 and pulled it at 1:30. We caught Kingfish the whole time as fast as you could reel them in. They ranged from 10 to 20 pounds. We also caught several False Albacore with Mackerel mixed in. The really nice bonus was the Flounder. We kept at least one rod on the bottom most of the time. We caught over 20 Flounder, at least 15 of witch where really nice eating size.

It was too rough to get out further for Grouper fishing, which was too bad, because as hot as the action was I assume my Grouper spots where on fire that day as well. I'm not going to complain though because we simple destroyed the fish that day and I can't wait to head offshore again next week.
Well I hope you enjoyed the quick update. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
