The big fish are on THE PROWL. The clients and myself have seen several fish in the 7 to 8 lb range. We have been catching fish on crankbaits, swimbaits, football jigs, and spoons the best. Everyday is different though and you just need to find out want they want for that day. One day the crankbait is best and the next the spoon ,but we still catch fish on all of them during the day. Just one will be better than the other. Fish are really deep right now. We are catching them from 16 to 22 feet and some days even deeper. The days they are deeper they are usually suspended off the ledges in the channel. On Friday we got blown off with the storms in the morning and on Saturday we found things a little tougher with the deep bite. I think with all the clouds the fish moved a little shallower. We didn't mark all the big schools like earlier in the week.
I will be off a few days this week to move but will be back at it towards the end of the week. I have days available if anyone wants to go. There is alot of action right now and there is some of the best fishing I have seen all year.
Good luck and hope this helps.
