We had some pretty good days last week but the big fish were hard to come by. One day we probably caught 35 flipping and every fish was between 2 ½ pounds to 3 ½ pounds. I don't believe that I have ever had a day that we caught that many and never caught one over four pounds. We also caught fish on spinnerbaits, swimbaits, horny toads and worms.
This week has been a little different, we have been catching some bigger fish and have seen some chasing going on. We are still having to work for them but have been hitting a few active groups through the day. It seems like the morning time is decent and as the sun gets up it slows down a little until around 11 and then the bite picks up as the day goes on. Swimbaits, frogs, flipping big jigs & creature baits are working best. We are catching around 30 a day on average and have had a few days that the fish were a little more active and have caught 40 to 50 on the better days.
My wife has went back to school and had to take the comp. And I am in the process of loading all the things I need on my new comp. and i am unable to do pictures. I hope to be done in the next few days.
The next few weeks I still have some days available but if everyone that I have talked to books after getting their plans figured out things will get hectic but I will still do my best to get anyone who calls out. I have been reserving dates into Oct. and Nov. so reserve your days soon.
Good luck out there.
