Well I took a gentelman fishing today by the name of Wesley Holley who wanted to catch some quality fish and not quantity so I took him to Orange Lake and that is exactly what he got. We didn't even have our lines in the water two minutes and our first fish was a 2-lbs 4-oz Black Crappie. We trolled eight rods out the back of the boat rigged with dbl.Culprit Crappie baits on 1/48 and 1/32 jig heads in various colors, because of the weather we had to have several different color combinations for the brightnes of the sun and the darkness of the clouds. Also as always we used Vicious Hi-Vis Panfish line which when trolling eight rods is a must so you can see the sideways bite and not tangle all of your lines. We fished four hours pulling our baits in 5 foot of water traveling at 1 to 1.1 mph finishing with his limit of fish all above 1 lb.with the largest being the first fish of the day. So if you want Quality go to Orange Lake and if you want Quantity go to Lochloosa, and if you don't have a boat or the right equipment contact Mike Baker--The Crappie Fisherman at 352-625-1180 or go to my web site which is www.thecrappiefisherman.com
