Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 11/10/07
The good times for the most part continued this week on the lake. With the exception of one day we caught decent numbers and generally put at least one good fish in the boat on every trip. The cold nights bunched the fish up and when you found them you generally caught 3 or 4. It appeared to me that the fish are starting to spread the lake for the fall feeding frenzy and the next few weeks should be some great fishing.
I fished mainly up river for most of the week, fishing over scattered grass, grass edges and humps. Probably the best producer all week is still top water baits, but also catching fish on everything from Tight-Line Jigs, Punisher Spinner baits, worms, rattle baits and crank baits.
I believe the next few weeks at least until we see some extended cold weather should be some great days, as the bass are schooling, feeding and looking to feed before they head deep for the winter.
The need to hit the lake at first light has changed substantially as the bite is extending all day. Come fish with me, I have available dates up through December.
