ON THIS LAST TRIP THE 26TH WE WERE HEADED TO THE RAMP AND TONY ASKED WELL WHAT'S GOING BE THE FIRST FISH I WAS FIRST TO SAY COBIA I THINK JOHN SAID MUTTON TONY HE'S NUT'S ABOUT DOLPHIN.
WE GOT OUT THE INLET AROUND 1:PM THE ANCORE WAS ON BOTTOM BY 1:15 IT TOOK A FEW MINUTE'S FOR IT TO HOOK UP, I HAD A BAIT ON BOTTOM BEFORE IT DID.
AND WHAT WAS THE FIRST FISH I SAID? IT WAS A 22LB COBIA ON MY FIRST FROSEN SARDINE THE FISH CAME UP INTO THE MOTOR'S TONY GAVE ME THE GAFF UNDER PROTEST MY GAFFING HAS BEEN BAD WITH MY BROKEN WRIST, BUT I BOATED THE FISH. WELL SHORTLY AFTER THAT PRIZE, THE DOLPHIN STARTED IN A SHORT TIME WE HADE I THINK 4 NICE FISH THEN WE WATCHED A BOAT DRIFT BY THY BOATED A NICE COBIA AND LOST ONE. JUST BEFORE THAT I BOATED MY SECOND COBIA AND GAVE JOHN A SHOT AT THE HOT SIDE OF THE LOOSE TRIGGER IT WAS MINUTE'S AFTER THAT BOAT GOT BY JOHN HOOKED HIS FIRST COBIA BUT THIS ONE DID NOT WANT TO COME UP I HAD TO COACH HIM HOW TO FISH WITH ELECTRIC DAIWA'S.
WHEN THIS FISH CAME TO THE BOAT IT WAS BIG AND HADE ANOTHER ONE WITH IT TONY WAS ON THE GAFF BUT HE WAS CLOSER TO A ROD SO I TOOK THE HOOK AGAIN AND BOATED JOHN'S 49LB'ER THIN THE DOLPHIN CAME SHOOTING ACROSS THE BACK CHASING FLYING FISH TONY BOATED MOST OF THE DOLPHIN WE ENDED THE NIGHT WATCHING DOLPHIN SKYROCKETING 20' AFTER FLYING FISH AND WITH ANOTHER COBIA BEFORE THE CERRENT STOPPED AND THEN THERE WAS NOTHING. AND THAT IS JUST ANOTHER HALFDAY ON THE LOOSE TRIGGER WITH CAPT. DAVE AND CREW.
