Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 4/5/08
Water Temperature 61 degrees
The fishing has come back and come back strong, this past week was as good as it gets with the big fish feeding and the bass hitting a variety of baits. I fished just about all ends of the lake and found active fish everyday no matter where I was. The second wave of bass is spawning and we are finding fish in all phases of the spawn, from pre-spawn to post spawn fish are being caught.
They have hit a variety of baits; we have caught them on Punisher Spinner Baits ghost colored, Mister Twister 6 inch lizards, Tight-Line Jigs, crank baits and rattle baits. It's a great time when there are so many baits producing as there been this past week. Most of my fishing this week has been in 3 to 5 feet of water around ledges, humps, flats and back water creeks.
Everyday this week we landed at least one big fish and had catches of 8 to 20 bass a day depending on how many hours we were on the water. I served customers from all parts of the country from Florida to Ohio to Kentucky and had some great times with great people.
The worst is over and the days ahead will just get better and better. Come enjoy a day on the water, I have open dates throughout April.
