The Fall hasn't even officially arrived yet and the awaited event of the Mullet Run which brings hordes of fish to the Ft. Pierce and Jensen Beach area has not even begun. However, the fishing action Inshore has been phenominal with Trout, Snook, Redfish and now the showing of BIG Spanish Mackerel. This weekend the fish once again cooperated and the charter quickly caught their limit of Speckled Trout within 30 minutes of being on the Flats. Most of these fish were 15-20" however we did get a few that ranged 27-32". Catch and Release Snook action has also been on fire with some really BIG fish being hooked up first thing in the morning. Top water plugs are working very well. Redfish action has been steady with a couple of Reds being caught each trip. The highlight of the trip was watching Spanish Mackerel in the 4-7 pound range crashing the glass minnow schools and then hitting anything that was thrown close resembling a glass minnow.
We still have openings for the first and second week of Snook season and our inlets and flats are loaded with BIG fish. Check out our website at www.florida-fishingcharters.com.
