Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 7/14/07
The good times on Lake Guntersville continued for me this past week, with the exception of Thursday the lake produced for my clients and me very well. I believe the cloud cover and rain added to the impressive week, so let's all keep asking the rain man to keep these summer showers coming. In fact planning a day on the water with a rainy forecast might just be a great way to add some pleasure to your next fishing day.
The week produced several fish in the 6-pound range and good numbers just about every time I was on the water. Most of my fishing this week was either, worm fishing, top water or flipping the grass. The activity was up and the bass seemed to be feeding most of the weeklong. I saw a lot of customer smiles and as we fished many different areas of the lake from the upper part above Goose Pond to Seibold Creek.
I believe the key to our successful week was getting my clients to fish slow and have some patience, making sure they were feeling the structure, twitching, wiggling and enticing the bass.
The "Dog Days" are slowly approaching, but there are still some great times to be enjoyed on Lake Guntersville. Let me help you enjoy your next outing, come fish with me, and I will help you put together a summer time pattern.
