The fishing the last few weeks has been up and down. One day we will get 50 to 60 blowups on a frog and the next day we only get half of that and they will miss it and we end up catching them flippin a big Jig. The past few days with all of the clouds there has been more activity and chasing on the grass edges and horny toads, ribbits, buzzbaits and swimbaits have been good. The lake isn't far from being hot I believe and the typical late summer to early fall patterns are starting to coming into play. If flippin or fishing a swimbait the hydrilla has been better and everything else is in the milfoil.
The reason I haven't been posting much lately has been to spending some time with the family. My wife is going back to school to get her nursing degree and it worked out best by her going to her moms in Florence. I still have been doing a few trips a week but the other time has been spent taking the boy out some. They left yesterday so starting today I will be out on the water every day and getting back to running full time.
Over the next few weeks the frog bite should get to being on fire and the fish should become a little more predictable.
I have days available and I am also running trips at a discounted price to go in your boat and help with electronics and sidescan readings.
Here are a few pics since my last post. I have several more but for some reason they won't transfer from my phone. I have tried three times.
Good Luck out there.
