Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 5/24/08
Water Temperature 78 degrees
This past week started out slow with the bite hard to find and quality fish even more difficult. However the world turned comes Friday and the bass turned on like I haven't seen in many years. We started catching fish and had 2 days of nearly 50 and 60 bass a day respectively at the end of the week.
The weather turned a little cloudy the south wind picked up and all of a sudden regardless of which bait your were fishing. The bass were hitting everything you could throw at them. My clients had big smiles; I ended up with two days that represented the best days of 2008.
We fished from Seibold Creek to above BB Comer bridge most of the week fishing from 4 feet to 25 feet of water. Tight-Line black and blue ½ oz jig was the big fish producer. Mister Twister, lizards, worms and finesse worms produced the numbers. Crank baits also proved to be effective along rocky edges.
It's been a time to remember on Guntersville and I'm proud I was part of it. Hope to see you on the water soon. Good luck and good fishing, come fish with me, let's have some fun together.
