The walleye bite in Lake Erie's Western Basin continues to be the HOTTESt in 20 or 25 years. The bite in the islandS area brings back memories of he early 80s when huge schools of the toothy predators roamed the lake, making fishing almost too easy LOL
Charters in the Wild Wings marina area are taking limits of eyes on worm harnesses with in-line weights or bottom bouncers or weight-forward spinners that were the big bait in the 80s.
Trollers are pulling limits with harnesses or spoons on bouncers, jets or dipsies and with crank baits.
