with a nice chop on the water .fishing in and around small to nice size rock piles in 10 to 15 ft this week end june 5-6 . the jerk bait bite is picking up. lucky craft ,stick baits in clown color ,are producing some big fish . casting and using a stop and go retreive ,is bringing these bigger fish to the surface . when a larger fish hits the bait and misses it . that is when you want to toss out a drop shot rig . berkeley gulp gobys ,in goby magic and melon peeper are the colors . with a couple off mid five lb fish in the boat,the top water pattern is some thing to try . along with casting or verticle jigging the missed hits .drop shoting the deeper water 25 to 38 ,is better later in the day . late june is when the canadion side off the lake opens for smallmouth . with the rocky shore line .early morning top water bite is hot .
