I haven't had much chance to get out much this week but I did venture out for 4 hrs this afternoon. I launched at 1pm and fished till 5pmish. Fishing wasn't bad for mid day. I managed 12 fish with 8 being keeper sized and several in the 2lb range on senko's. I think the senko bite and topwater should be OUTSTANDING in the morning hours. We will find out tommorrow :). I did throw the swimbait for an hour to see if I could drum up a big fish. I wasn't successful but I think I saw the biggest spot I have ever seen in Allatoona rise on my bait and she nipped at the tail not 8ft from the boat. She had just the tail of my swimbait in her mouth for like 4 seconds and all she had to do was chew once to taste hooks and I would have crossed her eyes but it just didn't happen. I saw her clear as day as I could have almost netted her. All I remember was she had one of the biggest guts on a spot I have ever seen as I watched her turn and head off into the deep!! I know where she lives and we will see if I can get Pappy a chance at her tommorrow am :)

SEMINAR IS THIS SATURDAY!!!(Saturday/OCTOBER 7th)

Just in Time for FALL FISHING. Some guys on the Allatoona forum wanted me to do a seminar on a multitude of topics pertaining to fishing Allatoona. So I decided to open it up to the public and rent out the Red Top Lodge banquet room. The seminar will be on Oct 7th (THIS Saturday) from 4-8 (arrive 3:30ish). Topics will be Swimbaits on Allatoona, Sonar Interpretation, dropshot, Patterning Largemouth AND Spots on Toona just to name a few to help everyone get ready for the fall/winter bite. I have well over 140+ slides in demonstrations/illustrations and pictures on this Power Point presentation.

Lots of prizes and donations will be given away. Click on the link listed below for more info and directions to the banquet room.

I have over 80 Lucky Craft baits to hand out, 24lbs of Yamamoto Plastics, Mini Me Spinnerbaits from SOB Lures, Fluorocarbon line from Triple Fish, box from Bass Stalker Jigs, Cavitron Buzzbaits, MegaStrike Scent as FREE handouts at the seminar with more in the works. I am supposed to get a 2007 $269.00 Ardent Reel in the mail tommorrow!!

Also, I have 3 high dollar swimbaits AND I have a 07 Ardent Baitcaster reel to raffle off provided it gets here in time. I'll have raffle tickets at the seminar if anyone is interested and they will be 5 tickets for $10.00 or 2 for $5.00. We are going to raffle the items off as EACHES and not as a LOT to increase the odds of someone getting a winning ticket. I am giving half of the proceeds of this raffle going towards Mike Allen's aka Tr21pd wife Kidney transplant fund. Click on the link below for more info on the seminar.
