I met Captain Mike and Chuck at my boat at 4am. The plan was to net a buch of bunker and anchor up for some Striper action before first light. Well Finding the bunker this morning was a big problem. They were in very small pods and moving very fast. There was also a good chop on the water so spotting them in the dark was a problem.

Right around first light we bumped into a good size school that was bunched up. So we were able to put some in the cooler.

We ran to our honey hole a couple of minutes away. We got our rods in the water with very high hopes and nothing happened. A few short runs and then some blue fish. after a couple of hours we finally put a 32 inch bass in the boat. Then it was bluefish the rest of the morning.

Not a great day but it was great to be on the water.

Any questions on this report feel free to email me.
