Offshore fishing has all of a sudden started to come to life for those fishing the Treasure Coast of Florida. Blackfin Tuna are hitting just about anything that gets in their way however the main producer is tuna feathers. Mixed in with the Blackfin are Wahoo looking for a quick meal as well, using small Bonito bridled has produced some decent sized Wahoo. Dolphin fishing has also started to pick back up with some fish going in the 30 pound range. Sailfish are still only 1-2 a day however that will be soon to change with double digit Sails in the future. Bottom fishing has been producing good catches of Snapper and some decent Grouper as well.
Inshore action has heated up with the mullet run! Snook are being found on the shadow lines at night for those working the bridges and docks. Trout action continues to improve as the water clarity improves. Redfish are hot on the tails of the mullet with quite a few over slot fish being caught. Tarpon are still being found in the area of Big Mudd as well some of the back country haunts.
