Fishing August 4, 2009
Northern California salmon fishing on the Trinity River catch limits of salmon now on the Trinity River, fishing is awesome. Roe bite is great and also, Flatfish lures. We have not seen this many salmon this early in the season in a very long time. Fishing pressure is zero, very limited people, great scenery, too.
Remember, the Trinity River is conveniently located 40 minutes West of Redding, California. The limit of salmon is currently 2 adult King Salmon , with the limit to increase for Fall Run to 3 King salmon per person September 1, 2009.
Report is the total sport fishing quota will be a unbelievable, 30,800 adult King salmon for the Trinty River system.
Matt Shafer (pictured) caught this awesome King Salmon on the Trinity River, July 14, 2009. Matt is with the US Army. He made some time yesterday to enjoy the outdoors and fishing before he is being deployed back to Iraq at the end of the month.
Our sincere appreciation, love, and respect go out to Matt, and to all of our troops out there. Thank you.
