Line-sides The Striper and Hybrid Bite is GOOD. The bite slowed down a little last week do to the full moon. But has picked back up the past couple of days. The fish are starting to stage mid-lake and are getting ready to make the run up the river. The flats between Kellogg's and Little River seem to be holding the bigger schools of fish. Look for the fish to start moving up the river any day now. But remember all of them do not go up the river. You can still catch good numbers of fish in the main lake this time of year on sanding points and beaches. But if you are after a Monster striper your best bet will be up the river. Cut baiting shad seems to be best when fishing the river. If you decide to stay on the main lake like me. Flat-lines and planner boards are working best. Remember to put your bait at least 50 behind your planner boards. This will improve your bites by 50%.
Trolling is really starting to improve. The fish are moving up in the water column and on the flats .And the Mack Farr u-rig is a GREAT way to catch these fish . I look for a great trolling bite come April....The Dugout Bait Store in Marietta just got a new shipment of Mack Farr u-rigs in. Give them a call for directions 770 428-7406
