It is only the first week of Dec but we have already had a month of very cold

weather for Central Florida. Water temps have been in and out of the mid 50's

the past two weeks. The first couple times the water temps went below 60

degrees the fish just went dormant for days but now that they have had their

cold blast for the first time sense last Feb they are starting to bite better each

day.My clients the past two days Mike and Meredith of Tennessee had a great

time catching fish each day up to 6 1/2 pounds on artificial baits.Main River

shellbeds have been the key this past week and Rattletraps and a C Rig

have been the best baits working for us.It is shiner fishing time and with the

spawn beginning next month we will start to see Trophy Bass on a daily basis.

If you are looking for that fish of a lifetime the St Johns River is the best Florida

has to offer.
