It has been a week of mostly artificial fishing.Had the guy's from Laserlure out for a fullday and some schooling fish were caught early and a Lazer Popper and Shallow Crank Bait later in the day we caught some really nice fish off ledges on a Laser Deep Diving Crank Bait.Friday I fished with one of my great friends and clients Jack G of Tennessee. We caught some nice fish early on Topwater and then again caught a few nice fish on the Laser Deep Diver we spent the later part of the day flipping and caught some smaller fish something wrong with that deal as I thought flipping was a big fish pattern. Today jack and I headed out early looking for schoolers and found some nice fish busting Shad but they were hard to catch we only caught 4 from the first stop but three were about 4 pounds each.Second spot we found some more nice fish busting but again hard to catch as we boated 5 fish for a total of nine on artificial baits then it was off for and afternoon of shiner fishing and the bite was steady with 8 or 10 fish on shiners.I still have a lot of days open in May and as you can see from my resent reports the big fish on the St Johns River continue to bite everyday.
