Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 6/23/07
The best way to describe this past week is tuff; the North wind blew most of the week, high pressure sat in and the fish just shut down. I fished every day this past week Monday and Tuesday were fair then the number of bites kept getting worse as the week went on. We managed to catch fish every day but the fish were small ranging from 2 to 3.5 lbs. and some that wouldn't keep.
The bite we did see was on top water early and a big worm later on in the day. We only managed one fish flipping and some swimming a Tight-Line Jig. With the chance of storms moving through this next few days we ought to see a south wind and hence an improvement in the bite.
I have some days available this week prior to the week of the forth of July if you would like to fish. My 3-hour Top Water Excursions have been fairly successful as of late, the top water bite has held up pretty good. We have a lot of fun and see a good amount of action.
