The big springs are finally here, we have been fishing 8 miles off shore. The chinooks seem to be down deep, from 90ft to 160ft. I had great succes, trolling with a red and gold flasher, with needle fish hoochie, at first light, with many fish in the high teens, the biggest one was 33 and a half pounds. The nice thing about fishing offshore, is that when we are done salmon fishing, we are right on the Halibut grounds. We have had great succes halibut fishing, with fish averaging 50 to 60 lbs, and many in the 100lbs plus range. Our last couple of hali trips, with three guides and six guests, we brought in over seven hundred pounds of halibut, within five hours. look us up at pacific safaris-Nuchatlaht park lodge. great fishing..Jordan Michael
