Beat the heat get out at night. Snook fishing on the docks and canals in the Weedon Island to Pinellas Point area is producing. Capt. Steven focuses on docks with underwater lights as they are consistently producing snook 25"-30" with a few slobs to 38" mixed in just to keep things fun. Approach quietly and look for snook chasing bait through the light. I have my clients cast into the shadows surrounding the light as that's where most snook are waiting to ambush bait. Give a spot 10 minutes and move on if you don't get bite. If the tide is rung strong cast your bait up current and let it drift naturally through the lights. We are also taking trout with an occasional slot size redfish on each trip. Don't forget the bug spray and be sure to keep the noise level down as to not disturb the dock owners otherwise you are likely to see the dock lights shut off.
