Today we had Brad and Gary from Premier Mechanical Serves on board taking out a few of their clients/friends Dan, Chuck and Randy from Chilies Restaurants out for a few hours fishing aboard the Hooked Up.

We headed down south off the coast of Holly Wood Florida and set out both kites with live baits suspended from them. J.J. also down one live bait to the bottom. It seemed the second the live bait hit the bottom BAM we were Hooked Up.

Chuck jumped in the chair and the fight was on. We had no idea what was on the other end but it was big and taking line at will. It was a back and forth tug a war for over 45 min but Chuck hung in there and when he finally got his BIG catch to the side of the boat it turned out to be a 7 foot bull shark. (HOLLY COW) on such light tackle it was a wonder we stayed connected so long.

Nice going Chuck but the trip was not over yet. At this point Chuck had caught his shark and Gary had caught a nice 17 pound king fish. We might not have been catching a lot but the fish we were catching were big ones.

All of a sudden Captain Greg seen a fish coming in on one of the kite baits. And sure enough it turned out to be a monster sail fish.

Dan wasted no time jumping in the chair and the fight was on. This fish did not seem to like sport fishing too much because he had no intentions of getting near the boat. (LOL) Dan hung in there and after a long battle Dan finally got his first sail fish ever next to the boat. J.J. reached out and grabbed him got him in the boat to get a quick measurement (89 inches) to have a replica trophy made of Dan's catch a couple quick photos and back in the ocean he went to fight again another day.

Guy's thanks so much for a great day on the water and we're looking forward to fishing with you guys again soon.

Today we had a shared charter on board. We had Joe and Jackie from Cleveland Ohio Emma and Dan from London England and Jan and Alex from Denmark.

We started out trolling the reef with 3 baits skipping across the surface and 2 baits running deep on our planner boards.

And we started catching king fish one after another. Before we knew it we had caught every one fish and a great time was being had by all.

Toward the end of the trip Captain Greg decided to try a deep drop on one of the ship wrecks. Once we got to the wreck Captain J.J. dropped a live bait down 210 feet and BAM we were Hooked Up. Dan jumped in the chair and the fight was on. It was a good 10 min before we got a good look at what Dan had been fighting with. It turned out to be a nice big amber jack.

Way to go guys what a fun day of catching!

Today we had Toney from Nashville Tenn. and his good friend Dan from South Florida on board for a few hours of deep sea fishing.

We started out slow trolling the reef with some live baits looking for some king fish or maybe a sail fish but sorry to say never found ether one.

So Captain Greg decided to try some bottom fishing to see if we could catch them some fish for dinner.

It turned out to be the right choice. We ended up with a bunch of snappers and Toney also caught a big amber jack.

Thanks again guys.

Today we fished with the guys from Minnesota we had Dick, Rob, john, Jim and Bruce.

We started out trolling the reef catching some king fish on the deep planners. Once we got down south of Holly Wood Florida we brought in our trolling gear and set out our kites with live baits suspended from the kites. We were hoping for a sail fish to eat one of our baits but instead we got a couple more kings and a nice 15 pound dolphin fish. Not a sail but hell we'll take it.

We finished of the trip slow trolling some live baits over a wreck and once again our extra effort paid off. Bruce hooked into a nice barracuda and after a 10 min fight ended up landing a trophy barracuda.

Thanks again guys for a fun day of fishing.

Today we had the guys from Fiber Zone Networks aboard with a couple of their clients/friends. We had Luis from Brazil, Jim from Michigan, Joey from Conn, Yuri from Cuba and Patrice from Ivory Coast which is West Africa. These guys got along so well and busted each others chops so much that I really never did know who worked for Fiber zone and who were the clients' but I guess that's just what you would call good business.

We started out trolling the reef catching king fish and bonitos. Once everyone had caught a couple fish we brought in our trolling gear and set out our kites with 4 live goggle eyes (live bait) suspended from the kites.

Kite fishing started out slow but all of a sudden out of nowhere here came this 6 to 7 foot hammer head shark charging after one of our poor little goggle eyes. (He never had a chance) And BAM we were Hooked Up.

Joey jumped in the chair and the fight was on. We knew that the chances of us catching this big shark on such a light rod with a light leader were slim to none.

Earlier in the trip I had told Joey that he moved like furniture and was busting his chops for not moving fast enough when we had a big king fish to the back of the boat and it had gotten away BUT as much fun as I was having busting his chops I've got to say he really did hang in there fighting this shark.

He had to go from one side of the boat to the other I don't know how many times and he was busting his ass. Joey finally got his shark 10 feet from the boat and we all got a good look at him but I guess the shark also got a good look at us because he flipped us the fin broke the line and swam off.

Nice going Joey way to hang in there and Jim thanks so much for bring the guys down to fish with us you guys are first class.

What a great day of fishing we had today aboard the Hooked Up.

We started out by helping 3 very hot chicks aboard Melisa, Natalie and Magzel O yea and they also brought along their three friends Mike, James and Alexander all from South Florida.

We stopped at the live bait boat and picked up a dozen live goggle eyes and went right out and set out both kites with 4 of our live baits suspended from them.

From there the trap was set and BAM A big sail fish piled all over one of our baits. Captain Daren let the sail swim away with the bait locked the reel up the rod bent over line started peeling off and we were Hooked Up.

Mike jumped in the chair and the fight was on. What a sight watching this beautiful sail fish dancing all over the surface. It was a back and forth tug a war for a good 15 min just as Mike was getting his sail close to the boat another bait got it and line was screaming off the reel. Once again Daren locked up the reel the rod bent over and just like that we were fighting 2 fish at the same time. Now Alexander had the other fish on as we were trying to get Mikes fish into the boat.

Finally got mikes sail onboard for a quick measurement and a couple photos and watched him swim away to fight again another day.

One down and one to go. Alexander's fish was giving us a tough time. This fish never jumped but was digging down deep hard and not giving up. Finally inch by inch we starting working the fish up. Once Daren a look at it he reached out a sunk his gaff into a 20 plus pound black fin tuna.

Holly Cow what a way to start out!!

After some hand shaking and some high fiving Daren got all the baits set back out. Just as all the baits were back out BAM a bite on the left long kite bait and we were Hooked Up again!

This time Magzel jumped in the chair and the fight was on. Once again the fish never broke water and was fighting just like Alexander's fish. After a good 15 min Magzel was gaining well on the fish and as it got to the boat and finally broke water up popped another big black fin tuna.

Can get any better than this?

Yes it can because once again just as all the baits were set out BAM another sail fish.

Ok James you're turn! James fought his fish for a good 15 min and finally at last another big catch.

Guys we can't thank you enough for a fun exciting morning of fishing.

Girls next time leave the guys behind and you guys can catch all the fish. (LOL)
